Newport Beach Launches New Fleet of Open-Air Trolleys for Summer Travel

Getting around Newport Beach this summer is about to become a lot easier—and a lot more fun. The city has unveiled a new fleet of free open-air trolleys designed to help residents and visitors travel between popular destinations without worrying about parking, traffic, or long walks in the summer heat. The retro-inspired red trolleys offer a nostalgic feel while providing a convenient transportation option for beachgoers, shoppers, and diners exploring the city.

Officials say the new vehicles are part of a broader effort to improve mobility and enhance the visitor experience during Newport Beach’s busiest season. The initial rollout includes several trolleys already in service, with plans to expand the fleet and connect additional neighborhoods and business districts in the future. City leaders hope the program will encourage more people to leave their cars behind and enjoy a more relaxed way of getting around Newport Beach.
